Work Backward From The End Result

It was supposed to be the last exhaust fan I put into that bathroom, but some ten years later, I was trying to figure out how I put it in there so I could take it out.

Watch the video for the story behind the story.

Besides a voyeuristic look into what my Saturdays look like, there's a lesson in my story.

If you're not getting the results you're looking for, work backward and see what needs to be changed in the underlying process.

The chances are, it's not something at the end of the process that's hampering you. It's something much more foundational.

While that may not be the answer you're looking for, the truth remains undefeated, and it's the only way forward.

H/T to my good friend Mike Simmons, who is always available for a chat about processes and is one of my go-to's when I'm stuck.
